About the role:


A fixed term opportunity has arisen for an experienced HCPC-registered Specialist Biomedical Scientist within our Histology department based at Northwick Park Hospital, Harrow. Our department operates from Monday to Friday, 8:45am to 5:15pm. We are looking for a candidate who have completed their IBMS specialist portfolio in Histopathology Department and can demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills. The successful candidate is expected to provide Histology services including dissection, embedding, microtomy, cryotomy, special stains, Immunohistochemistry & able to perform quality checks.

You will be joining our energetic, highly motivated, dynamic & passionate team of 50 people. You are expected to be proactive, motivated and a team player with an excellent communication skill. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to progress in their careers.

We provide Cellular Pathology services to London Northwest University Healthcare NHS Trust (one of the largest integrated NHS Trusts in the country).

We are UKAS accredited and a recognised HCPC / IBMS training laboratory.

Essential qualifications and experience:


HCPC Registered - include registration number with your CV and application. Extensive laboratory experience in Histopathology as Biomedical scientist. Full and unrestricted work rights for the UK. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide sponsorship currently.
Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard)
