This post is advertised as a Band 6, however?applicants?who do not currently hold all the necessary competencies to a Band 6 level are encouraged to apply and, if successful,?will be appointed under Annex 21 rules whereby 70% of the top of Band 6 will be payable in the first year and 75% in second year.
Applicants would be supported to develop their competencies required to fulfil the role up to a 24 month period. Following successful completion and successful attainment of the skills and competencies for the role, the post holder will then be paid at Band 6 (minimum point on the scale).
Failure to achieve the competencies in the designated timeframe could result in re-deployment.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join Hywel Dda Paediatric diabetes team, in its endeavours to improve and empower children and young people living with diabetes.
The post is a permanent position, part time (18.75 hours/week) and would be suited to a highly motivated Dietitian who has some knowledge and experience of working within diabetes and or paediatric dietetics.

The post holder will support the provision of structured education across the health board sites and hold a clinical case load of children and young people with diabetes.
The post holder will work as a specialist children's diabetes dietitian and an integral member of the Children's Diabetes Service, managing a complex caseload of children and young people and supporting others to work effectively with children, young people and their families with diabetes.
