We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Band 6 Dietitian to join our dynamic dietetic team, covering a diverse and rewarding caseload across Surgery, ICU, and Parenteral Nutrition (PN). This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced dietitian to enhance their clinical skills and make a significant impact on the nutritional care of patients in critical and perioperative settings.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients in surgery, ICU, and those requiring PN.
Develop, implement, and review individualised nutrition care plans in line with the clinical condition and needs of the patient.
Provide clinical expertise in Parenteral Nutrition, including assessment, prescription, and monitoring of PN therapy.
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff to ensure optimal patient care.
Contribute to the education and training of staff on nutritional care within surgery, ICU, and critical care settings.
Provide evidence-based nutrition advice and support to patients and their families.
Participate in audits, research projects, and service development to enhance the quality of nutrition services.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with trust policies and guidelines.

The post will allow the successful candidate to work in a large dietetic team and develop generic specialist skills in a friendly, positive working environment.
You will be asked to attend a trust induction and will also have a local induction. The post will involve regular peer review and supervision and you will also be asked to supervise, band 5 dietitians, dietetic students and a dietetic assistant.
