We are looking for an experienced Specialist Doctor, motivated to work independently at a senior level within the Redditch Neighbourhood Mental Health Team 9am-5pm, Monday-Friday.
The team is based at Hill Crest in Redditch and currently consists of a Clinical Lead, a Senior Mental Health Practitioner, a trainee ACP eight Mental Health Practitioners, three support workers, a Mental Health Wellbeing Practitioner, an IPS worker, Employment Retention worker, Onside Link Worker, support from a Connect Professional and a lead from Worcestershire Association of Carers.
The successful candidate will work within this multi-disciplinary team, alongside another experienced Specialist Psychiatrist.
The candidate should have full Registration with the General Medical Council (or eligible for full registration with the GMC at time of appointment), and at least 12 years of medical work (either continuous period or in aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical qualification, of which a minimum of six years should have been in Psychiatry as a specialty. MRCPsych or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Psychiatry is highly desirable.

Main duties of the job
The Specialist Doctor will work with authority and responsibility as agreed, reporting to the supervising Clinical Director.
This is a 40 hour per week role, with 20 hours per week dedicated to direct patient care in outpatient clinics and home visits. The remaining time is allocated to the Multi-disciplinary Team Meeting, Emergency Reviews, Administrative Duties, and SPA time. There is no on-call commitment in this role.
The candidate will provide direct Psychiatric services through the comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and treatment formulation of adult patients, with a focus on evidence-based treatment and addressing the patients biopsychosocial needs, whilst continuously evaluating and acting on outcomes. Effective risk management is a key part of the job. They will also engage in assessing referrals into the team, initiating communication and referral to other health professionals and agencies and undertake regular family/carer liaison.
