Harlesden office / Hybrid (2 days required in office)

Hours:

35 hours per week





Contract:

Fixed-term Mat cover

Salary:

28,000 - 32,000 per annum

About the Role





We are seeking a passionate

Specialist Domestic Abuse Advocate Advisor

to provide trauma-informed, client-centred housing support to Black and minoritised women experiencing domestic abuse.


In this role you will:

Deliver one-to-one advocacy, safety planning, and crisis intervention for women at risk. Support women to maintain housing tenancies and prevent homelessness. Work closely with housing providers, local authorities, and multi-agency partners. Safeguard women and children, ensuring risks are identified and addressed. Provide training to housing providers to improve responses to survivors. Record outcomes and contribute to monitoring, evaluation, and service development.

About You





You will bring:

A relevant qualification or training in domestic abuse, housing, social work, or a related field. Experience supporting women experiencing domestic abuse and harmful practices. Strong knowledge of housing systems, safeguarding, and the impact of domestic abuse on BME survivors. Ability to work effectively with statutory and voluntary partners. Excellent communication, crisis management, and organisational skills. The ability to speak a community language.
