The Swindon Early Years Centre (SEYC) supports children with SEND, providing high quality Early Years Education and Family support. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the expansion of a successful and very highly regarded service. You will joining at an exciting time where your valued contribution will help shape the service as we grow.


The Swindon Early Years Centre are looking for a permanent, part time Specialist Early Years Practitioner to work for 25 hours per week, term time only.

Are you looking for an opportunity to play a part in making a difference to the lives of children under 5 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and their families? If so, we may have the perfect opportunity for you.


Although potential applicants will have experience of supporting young children's learning and development in a group setting, you may not have the specialist knowledge around supporting children with additional needs and their families; therefore, a desire to learn and develop is essential. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn alongside our incredibly experienced and highly effective team.


You will have at least a L3 qualification in Early Years and childcare (or a recognised equivalent) as well as GCSE Maths and English or equivalent. You will have excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate equally effectively with children, parents and colleagues. You will recognise the value of a team approach to meeting challenges and have the ability to follow instruction as well as work using your own initiative. Flexibility is essential in an environment which can change rapidly and in which no two days are ever the same!


You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act "for the effective performance of a customer-facing role").
