We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Health Instructor (Level 4) to join our Active Communities team, delivering on our Falls Prevention and Long Term Conditions programmes across Edinburgh Leisure venues.




In this role, you will:




Deliver specialist health classes which are engaging, safe, and tailored to your participants' needs to promote physical activity and healthier lifestyles. Plan and prepare sessions, designing targeted exercise programmes and setting up spaces to support effective and enjoyable delivery. Provide ongoing support to high-risk participants, maintaining regular contact to encourage session attendance and tracking participant progress through pre- and post-assessments and questionnaires. Motivate and inspire participants to get active, stay active, and take control of their health and well-being. Create an inclusive, welcoming environment where participants feel empowered to pursue their personal health and well-being goals.



Our ideal candidate will have:




A CIMSPA-endorsed Level 4 Postural Stability Instructor (PSI) qualification. Experience in delivering specialist physical activity sessions to diverse groups, adapting to a range of abilities and health conditions. Strong motivational and communication skills, with the ability to listen, empathise, and tailor your approach to individual needs. Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify barriers to participation and recommend supportive solutions. A creative, patient, and dependable approach, with a commitment to providing outstanding participant experiences. A full driving licence (desirable) to support delivery across multiple Edinburgh Leisure venues.
