Fixed Term, Full Time

\xc2\xa337,430 - \xc2\xa342,585 per annum

Location: Offering flexible new ways of agile working, with the Council Offices based at Princes Road, Maldon, available as required

The Role

Working as part of a busy and professional HR Team, you will support managers in a range of interesting and challenging cases that will broaden your experience and knowledge, including case management, employee life cycle and key organisational projects, maintaining strict confidentiality.

You will play a critical role in coaching and guiding managers, developing their understanding and the ability to drive a learning and development programme. You should have a strong understanding of up-to-date employment law and best practice, strong interpersonal skills which support forming positive relationships with both managers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders.

Supporting employee\'s wellbeing and driving forward the Council to promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion would be advantageous. You must be confident in managing your own employee relations caseload and providing support to the wider team on processes and application of policies.

The successful applicant will be CIPD Level 5 qualified and/or have significant experience within the industry, be a strong team player, self-motivated and focussed. Local Government experience is preferred but not essential.

Other requirements include

  • Significant experience in working within an HR environment
  • Excellent communications skills with both internal and external customers
  • Experience in managing a wide variety of HR related casework
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, changing priorities when required
  • Ability to design and deliver internal training of HR Policies and Procedures
  • Knowledge of data systems and how to utilise this data in reporting
  • Knowledge of project management and HR software

The Opportunity

A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist: HR Level 2 (HRBP), to join the HR team on a full-time fixed-term contract.

Reporting to the Lead HR Specialist, we are looking for an experienced individual to carry out a wide variety of tasks and manage the day-to-day HR queries that arise within the Council. We are seeking a confident and conscientious CIPD qualified individual with a proven ability to support and influence managers on complex HR issues with sound business awareness.
