We are excited to announce an opportunity to join the Student Support and Wellbeing team as a Specialist Inclusion Mentor. This role plays a vital part in supporting students with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) and Learners with Learning Difficulties and/or Disabilities (LDD), enabling them to thrive in an inclusive, supportive, and empowering learning environment.
You will work closely with students, parents/carers, curriculum staff, and external agencies to design and implement tailored support strategies. Through proactive mentoring and skill-building sessions, you will contribute to a culture of high expectations and inclusive practice across the College.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Managing a personal caseload of students with SEND/LDD and coordinating their individual Student Support Plans.
Delivering one-to-one and small group study skills sessions, both on-site and online, using appropriate assistive technologies.
Collaborating with curriculum staff and support services to ensure inclusive teaching and assessment strategies are embedded.
Monitoring, reviewing, and reporting on students' progress and support impact through accurate record-keeping and quality data.
Supporting transition and assessment processes for new and existing students with support needs.
Contributing to quality improvement processes and sharing best practices to promote inclusive learning across the College.
