The Sirona Adult Learning Disability Health Service is a centre of excellence for specialist learning disability health needs. We are organised in 3 localities where multidisciplinary teams enable our service users to access health services through direct care, liaison with other services and offering support and training on how to work with people who have a learning disability and how to make reasonable adjustments.
We support adults with Learning disabilities (LD) who present with complex physical health needs, this may also include an element of behaviours that challenge and/or Mental Health needs.
This is a part time position for 22.5 hours per week, based at New Friends Hall in Bristol.
To provide a high quality occupational therapy service for adults with learning disabilities, working with service users who might present with complex neurological conditions, physical disabilities, mental health needs and challenging behaviour.
This involves working as an autonomous practitioner, and as part of a multidisciplinary team, liaising with relevant professionals, carers, agencies and providers.
To work as part of an MDT to develop, deliver and implement resources and training to mainstream services to promote inclusion and improved outcomes for people with LD
