Our Health in Justice service line is now expanding into non-Custodial healthcare, a person-centred approach delivered via a solid and consolidated infrastructure aimed to assess individuals' mental health and neurodiversity requirements, to redirect them to the most appropriate channel. We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Liaison and Diversion Practitioner to join our team in Humberside.
This role is specific to working within the our Female Pathway.
Hours
Service runs over a 7 day service - Monday - Sunday: 4 long days a week
1 in 4 weekends required
Salary
This position is full time and you will receive a salary of 43,609 to 49,175 depending on experience

What you'll be doing
As a Specialist Liaison and Diversion Practitioner your responsibilities will vary. You will
Working across out Liaison & Diversion services assessing need of female service users that come into contact with criminal justice system.
The assessment will focus on the all-vulnerability model, including health and social care needs, such as mental health, substance misuse and neurodiverse needs. A support plan will then be developed to include supporting vulnerable service users to access mainstream services and voluntary groups to improve their health outcomes, making onward referrals to appropriate local services and encouraging engagement.
you will coach and develop staff from clinical and non-clinical backgrounds around your areas of specialism; support and contribute to service audits and governance and contribute to developing and reviewing clinical/nonclinical Local Operating Protocols for the site.
This role is open to both Clinical and Non-Clinical applications that have previously worked with/in Female centered establishments or environments.

Qualifications and skills required:
  • .Evidence of appropriate qualification related to relevant specialism
  • Evidence of working within a specialist field such as Women's Prisons or Services, Gender specific roles
  • Experience of working with patients, face to face, who have complex mental health conditions
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • Awareness of substance misuse services and support available
  • Sound clinical knowledge and assessment skills including risk assessment
  • Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
