Job Summary
Ascot Rehabilitation is seeking an experienced and compassionate Specialist Neuro Speech & Language Therapist (SLT) to join our multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering specialist assessment and rehabilitation for adults with neurological conditions such as stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, and other progressive neurological disorders. This role requires advanced clinical skills in the management of communication and swallowing disorders, with proven competencies in FEES (Fibreoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing).
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive neuro-SLT assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities.
Lead on instrumental swallowing assessments, including FEES to guide safe and effective dysphagia management.
Develop and implement individualised, evidence-based treatment programmes to support communication and swallowing rehabilitation.
Work collaboratively within a specialist neurorehabilitation MDT ( physiotherapists, occupational therapists, nurses, neuropsychologists, and medical consultants) to ensure coordinated, patient-centred care.
Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior SLTs and therapy assistants.
Deliver education and training to patients, families, and staff regarding communication and swallowing strategies.
Contribute to service development, clinical audits, and research projects, supporting Ascot Rehabilitation's position as a centre of excellence.
Maintain clear, accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and patient progress.
Experience & Requirements
Degree in Speech & Language Therapy (or equivalent) with HCPC registration.
Extensive post-qualification experience in neurorehabilitation.
Proven competencies in FEES.
Strong expertise in managing dysphagia and complex communication disorders in neurological populations.
Knowledge of AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) is highly desirable.

Pay: 42,000.00-47,000.00 per year
