We are excited to go out to advert for our first occupational therapy post within CYPEDS in Cornwall! You would be joining a broad multidisciplinary community based service, supported by occupational therapists employed within other roles in the team (e.g. family therapist and clinical lead).



Provision of occupational therapy to a defined caseload of patients within the Children & Young People's Eating Disorders Service, using evidence-based practice, Occupational Therapy process and client centred principles.



Post holder will ideally have some training and/or experience of conducting sensory assessments and providing appropriate adaptations.



To contribute to OT assessment and planning, implementation, and evaluation of interventions within the context of a multi-disciplinary team.



You will be responsible for the assessment, treatment and discharge planning of patients within your care. You will need to interpret information relevant to the patient's condition/progress, identify problems and patient needs, setting realistic goals.



You will need to have excellent organisational skills combined with experience of working in mental health services. You will need a valid UK driving licence and the ability to travel to different locations.



You will be responsible for leading and organising groups, in conjunction with other members of the team and our clinical leads.



To contribute to the development of the Trust Occupational Therapy Service and best practice initiatives.
