The City Community Mental Health team are a well-established team, offering assessment and treatment for people over the age of 65 with mental health needs and for people of any age with a dementia diagnosis.



The team covers the Nottingham city locality. Working hours of the team are Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm.

The post-holder will work in a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive assessment and interventions which promotes recovery, enabling patients to remain at home and supporting their positive mental and physical wellbeing.

Some of the duties of this job include:

To provide an occupational therapy service for older people with complex mental health needs who are referred to the service including providing duty cover for the team.



To carry out specialist occupational therapy assessment, goal setting, implementation of treatment programmes and evaluation.



To establish the needs of individuals referred to the service and plan care with colleagues from health, social services, families, and the voluntary sector.



To represent and promote the specialist role of Occupational Therapy.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is 26.40 (standard) or 54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.



You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of 16 per year applies.



A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
