Job Title: Specialist Occupational Therapist (Band 6)



Working Pattern: 36 hours 40 minutes per week



We are able to consider a range of flexible working patterns such as full-time, part-time hours and will also consider full year and term time working requests.



Salary Range: Salary Range: Grade 8 SCP 32-36 (42,839.35 - 47,180.98) pro rata to hours and weeks worked

The Harmony Trust is a strong Multi Academy Trust with academies in Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside (Northwest Hub) and Derby.? We are looking for a motivated, passionate, and experienced Occupational Therapist to join our growing Inclusion Team based in our Northwest Hub.

The Occupational Therapist (OT) will become an integral part of our multidisciplinary team working alongside our team of Specialist Practitioners. The successful candidate will be experienced in working with Primary aged children who have complex needs (such as ASC and SEMH needs). You will be required to work closely with our Speech and Language Therapy team, other professionals and parents/carers providing support to pupils; reporting to the Director of Education and Senior Trust Leader for SEND.

Job role

The successful candidate will share our vision and values and be committed to Inclusion; ensuring our staff, pupils and families meet their potential. The role is suitable for practitioners looking to extend their clinical experience within the field of ASC, SEMH and associated difficulties. The successful candidate will work across mainstream and specialist educational settings within the Trust, delivering therapeutic interventions within our Northwest Academies and Inclusion Hubs (Specialist Provisions). They will have the opportunity to influence and shape practice across our Derby Hub through the use of technology and as part of the Inclusion Service Team. They will be required to have at least two years experience within this field or a related relevant setting as they will need to feel confident working as currently the only OT within the team.

There will be opportunities to network with OT's from local OT Teams. Regular external formal and informal supervision will be offered. CPD opportunities will be provided for the successful candidate to develop skills and practice and to assist developing practice and information needs.

Our Occupational Therapist will play a central role, tasked with assessing and delivering programmes, delivering and supporting staff training, as well as preparing evidence-based reports. It is our aim to have a therapeutic team offering multi/inter-disciplinary interventions.
