Job: Specialist Occupational Therapist (Phase 2) - Further Education Setting

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne



Contract: Term-Time Only & Permanent



Salary: 34,656 - 42,355 per annum (TTO)



We are working with a respected specialist education provider in the Northeast to recruit a dedicated and experienced

Occupational Therapist

to join their multidisciplinary team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support young adults aged 16-25 with a range of physical, sensory, and learning needs in a dynamic and person-centred college environment.

The Role

As a

Phase 2 Occupational Therapist

, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, student-focused therapy. You'll work collaboratively with education staff, families, and external professionals to embed therapeutic strategies into everyday routines and ensure holistic support for learners.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver assessments and interventions tailored to individual student needs. Support learners with physical, sensory, and learning disabilities to engage in education and daily living. Develop and review individualised therapy programmes and contribute to EHCPs. Collaborate with teaching and support staff to integrate therapy into the curriculum. Supervise and mentor junior team members and contribute to service development.

About You

We're looking for someone who is:




HCPC-registered with a recognised Occupational Therapy qualification. Experienced in working with young people with disabilities, autism, and behaviours that challenge. A strong communicator and team collaborator. Creative and student-led in their therapeutic approach. Passionate about empowering young adults to live more independent and fulfilling lives.
