Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Orthodontist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of dental anatomy and have experience with advanced orthodontic techniques. This role requires a commitment to providing exceptional patient care while utilising the latest technology in orthodontics, including CAD and medical imaging. The successful applicant will work closely with patients to develop tailored treatment plans that enhance their oral health and aesthetics.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive examinations of patients' teeth, jaws, and facial structures to diagnose orthodontic issues. Develop and implement customised treatment plans using braces, aligners, and other orthodontic appliances. Utilise CAD software for designing orthodontic devices and treatment simulations. Perform adjustments to appliances as necessary throughout the treatment process. Collaborate with dental hygienists, assistants, and other specialists to ensure coordinated patient care. Maintain accurate patient records, including treatment progress and outcomes. Educate patients and their families on oral hygiene practices and the importance of orthodontic care. Stay updated on advancements in orthodontic technology and techniques through continuous professional development.

Experience

A degree in Dentistry followed by a recognised postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics is essential. Proven experience in an orthodontic practice is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dental anatomy and medical imaging techniques is required. Proficiency in using CAD software for orthodontic applications is advantageous. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages. A compassionate approach towards patient care, ensuring comfort and understanding throughout treatment.
