An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Pharmacist Haematology/Oncology- Cancer Services to join our Pharmacy Team at The London Clinic. We are offering a competitive Band 8a salary for this role. The London Clinic's Pharmacy Department are a close-knit team with around 45 staff members. The Pharmacy department comprises of 9 core services: On Call, Dispensary Services, Distribution and Top Up Service, Procurement, Clinical Ward Pharmacy Services, Provision of Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), Aseptic/Technical Services, Clinical Governance and Education and Training.
We have extensive oncology services, including a purpose-built chemotherapy aseptic compounding suite. As well as an automated medication dispensing system which supports decentralised medicine management in numerous wards. The Specialist Pharmacist Haematology/Oncology- Cancer Services will work as part of a dedicated pharmacy team to lead, provide and develop cancer pharmacy services. Responsible for managing the pharmacy service to day case chemotherapy services (including chemotherapy production) and provision of clinical services to Haematology and Solid tumour patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting (including responsibility for drug and therapeutics and the electronic prescribing system for your area).
Acting as liaison between wards, departments and pharmacy to ensure that pharmacy services are tailored to meet the needs of the wider institution. Job Type: Fixed Term Contract 37.5 hours per week, plus on-call shifts. Location: The London Clinic 22 Devonshire Place, London, W1G 6BW. Salary: Band 8a equivalent salary range on offer based on skills and experience.
