We're proud to be partnering with a

supportive and inclusive primary school in Harrow

that is seeking a

Specialist Primary Teaching Assistant

to join their team.


This role will initially focus on providing 1:1 support for a

complex Year 6 pupil

, helping them to settle into Year 6, establish firm boundaries, and remain engaged in learning. Longer term, your role will expand to supporting pupils

across the whole school

, making this an exciting opportunity to have a lasting impact.

Key Responsibilities:



Provide

consistent 1:1 support

for a Year 6 pupil, helping them to settle, build trust, and remain focused. Set

clear, firm, and fair boundaries

while fostering a positive and supportive relationship. Collaborate closely with teachers and pastoral staff to ensure a consistent and nurturing approach. Support the delivery of engaging lessons across the curriculum, adapting to individual needs. Gradually transition into a wider support role across the school, working with pupils in other year groups.

What We're Looking For:



Someone who is

confident, firm yet fair, and resilient

. Previous experience supporting children in a UK school setting (ideally KS2). A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). Availability for the

full academic year

. Ability to commute to or reside in

Harrow

.
