Dugdale Nutrition Ltd is a modern family business, leading the UK's ruminant sector by delivering outstanding products, people, partnerships and performance. We currently have two production facilities based in Clitheroe and Speke that run 24/7.
Main Purpose:
To support the Commercial Manager in the day-to-day management of traded product pricing and technical queries. This role ensures accurate and timely processing of sales and purchase orders, and the need to liaise with suppliers to guarantee on-time and in-full delivery of goods either to the warehouse or directly to farm.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Provide administrative and technical support to the Commercial Manager and Sales Team, including pricing and product queries.
Process customer sales orders accurately on the ERP system.
Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring they are sent to suppliers promptly.
Liaise with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules and ensure timely and complete deliveries.
Maintain and update traded product records across relevant business platforms.
Assist with logging and resolving non-conformances to maintain high customer service standards.
Communicate effectively with internal departments including Sales, Transport, and Quality teams.
Utilise the Dugdale Nutrition CRM system to ensure all enquiries and order details are logged onto the system.
Ensure all documentation is filed and maintained in line with company procedures.
Person Specification / Qualifications:
Essential:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Proactive and highly organised with the ability to multitask.
Confident in using IT systems, particularly MS Outlook and Excel.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
Good geographic knowledge of the UK.
Experience in customer service or supplier liaison is desirable.
Knowledge of UK agriculture is beneficial but not essential.
