Job Description

An opportunity has arisen within our small specialised team to join the IR service as a skilled and experienced radiographer. The successful candidate will be based in IR during normal working hours guiding and supporting the delivering of services on Broomfield site.



You will have a wide range of relevant experience and be dedicated to improving the service.



Manage staff and resources effectively to promote patient advocacy in all areas of fluoroscopy and interventional radiology from a range of referral sources.



Undertake clinical work establishing best standards of practice.



Oversee and organise the workload assisting the clinical lead and nursing team by demonstrating leadership and multi-disciplinary team working.



Being responsible for training, supervision, and monitoring of all staff in this modality alongside the senior members of the team.



Actively develop fluoroscopy and interventional radiology services.

You will assist with developing protocols and standard operating procedures and ensuring compliance within the screening team.

You will be expected to act as a Radiation Protection SupervisorYou will be expected to work with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and manage work streams proactively to promote clinical governance and learning within the service.

Participate in research and audit programmes.

Forge relationships with users in clinical environments and maximise user input to the on-going service delivery. Working with users in resolving any issues arising in a timely manner
