The Radiopharmacy Department at Barts Health is undergoing an exciting and innovative phase of exponential expansion. The Radiopharmacy department forms part of the Imaging department which relies on close working relationships between a number of different staff groups including scientists, pharmacytechnicians, imaging technologists, physicists and clinicians.We are a MHRA Manufacturer's Specials Licenced Radiopharmacy, who also hold a MIA(IMA) License, supplying key radiopharmaceuticals to Nuclear Medicine & Imaging departments within our Trust and to other hospitals.Our service includes a range of activities from the aseptic preparation ofradiopharmaceuticals and blood cell radioisotope labelling for the purposes of diagnostic imaging, batch manufacture, clinical trials, and quality control laboratory activities. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technician or scientistwith experience in radiopharmaceutical or aseptic production to further developtheir career in a world leading center. The successful applicant will be actively involved in Radiopharmacy Production at St Bartholomew's Hospital providing highquality, safe, efficient radiopharmaceuticals manufacturing and maintaining the supply chain to customers.
Main duties of the job
To work as a member of the Radiopharmacy Technical services team providing an efficient, effective and safe aseptic radiopharmaceutical production service to Bart's Health Nuclear Medicine Department and other specified service users

  • BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or NVQ level 3 in Pharmacy Services.
  • or Science Manufacturing Technician
  • or Diploma in Nuclear Medicin
  • or Scientific Degree (or equivalent)
Desirable
  • Registration with General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Pre and in process checking (PIPC/ACPT
  • ILM L3 in Leadership and management or equivalent qualification in management.
Experience

  • Experience in a GMP / aseptic supervisory or training role
  • o Relevant experience within a GMP / aseptic facility or work as a pharmacy technician.
