Role: Specialist Recovery Worker



Reporting to: Strategic Service Manager



Accountable To: Managing Director



JOB PURPOSE



Working as a Specialist Recovery Worker you will be involved in engaging with people who are vulnerable across a number of fields such as, but not restricted to criminal justice, homelessness and sex working. You will be assessing their needs and delivering personalised case management; to support individuals to make positive changes. As a Specialist Recovery Worker you will also work in partnership with multi-disciplinary teams and agencies.



The

Specialist Recovery Worker

will play a key role in delivering an integrated approach to the core functions of:

Carry out assessments and case work as necessary focussing on harm reduction Responsible for liaising and networking with partner agencies and feeding into strategic multi-agency groups, as well as completing referrals to other agencies Carry out risk assessments in relation to all clients, and carry out regular reviews in line with our risk management protocols To maintain a caseload of clients and offer clients assertive, consistent, ongoing advice and guidance tailored to their individual needs. Support service users through the gate from custody into community settings Administration duties including recording and monitoring of caseloads Hotdesk around partner services to build and maintain healthy working relationships Evaluate and monitor the work as required and update monitoring databases including reviewing client progress with service users using evidence-based review tools. Identify ways in which project services can develop and improve with special reference to vulnerable people in Stockport. Proactively engage with difficult and vulnerable clients and support clients to make informed choices about their own wellbeing Advocate where possible on behalf of clients with external agencies e.g. Drug / Alcohol Services, Probation, Health Care Providers To motivate and help clients access pathways to accommodation Accompany clients to attend appointments and where possible to encourage the clients to represent themselves Negotiate support plans with each client and ensure their benefits are maximised and clients are supported to manage budgets Undertake welfare checks where required Provide clients with practical and emotional support of active engagement, and build on client's strengths
Working with Service Lead and Designated Safeguarding lead with Safeguarding matters

Undertake any other duties as required

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



To deliver high quality provision to learners, maintaining the highest standards of customer service throughout.

To support your Line Manager through participating in relevant activities and attending meetings where necessary.

To support the development and collation of the product evidence base through timely data collection and recording of information.

To liaise with and provide training to partner agency staff to ensure effective relationships that facilitate quality engagement with learners, support collection of activity, performance and outcome information and promote business growth.

To highlighting any issues or areas of concern with your line manager.

To promote and support the mission, vision and values of the company at all times, providing a quality service and treating all those with whom they come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner.

To be aware of and compliant with all company policies and procedures.

To ensure familiarity with partner agency policies and procedures when working within their sites with particular regard to Health & Safety, Safeguarding and incident reporting.

To identify any learning, development and training needs, bring these to the attention of your line manager through regular supervision and appraisal reviews.

Any other duties appropriate to the role as tasked by your Line Manager or Company Directors.

PERSON SPECIFICATION



Essential Criteria



i. Experience of working within a multidisciplinary, multi-agency environment including the public, voluntary and private sector providers and commissioners.

ii. Demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders including representatives of commissioners, purchasers, partner agencies and customers.

iii. Demonstrate project management skills and experience.

iv. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

v. Well-developed literacy and numeracy skills and a clear understanding of transactional analysis.

vi. Highly proficient in the use of software packages such as SAGE ACT, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word to interpret data and create presentations and/or reports of the highest standard.

vii. Hold a current driving licence and/or have access to a form of transport which will permit the applicant to meet the post requirements in full.

i. Knowledge of, and experience in supporting provision through peer mentoring, especially within a hard to engage customer cohort.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 26,000.00-28,000.00 per year
