Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit 0.5 whole time equivalent Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to our well established Speech and Language Therapy team which provides a service across Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire. This post is for anyone interested in working with children with a range of communication needs within mainstream nurseries and special schools. The post will also include home visiting and the successful applicant will be based at The Walker Street Centre, Walker Street, Hull.

To demonstrate specialist clinical skills and provide support and advice re the delivery of care in partnership with children, relatives, staff, managers, and externally with other agencies.

To maintain, as part of continual professional development, up to date clinical specialist knowledge/skills

To provide day to day clinical supervision for SLT assistants, students and other co-workers as required

To provide training within own area of specialism to other professionals and carers
