Specialist Speech & Language Therapist

Salary:

32,301 - 37,491 (Equivalent to NHS Band 6)

Hours:

36 hours per week, term-time only (part-time considered)

We are seeking a skilled and passionate

Speech & Language Therapist

to join a supportive, multidisciplinary therapy team in a specialist school setting. You will work alongside experienced Speech & Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists, delivering therapy and supporting the communication needs of students with a range of language and communication difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

Manage your own caseload with support and supervision from the therapy team Assess, plan, and deliver therapy interventions Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals Contribute to the communication development of students using a range of approaches, including spoken language, BSL, Sign Supported English (SSE), and AAC Participate in training and CPD opportunities

Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified Speech & Language Therapist Registered with HCPC and RCSLT Minimum BSL Level 1 (BSL Level 3 desirable) Experience working with children with speech, language, and communication needs (SLCN) Interest in working with D/deaf children (previous experience and/or AAC use is advantageous) Strong communication, organisation, and teamworking skills
