This includes regular supervision, yearly appraisals, Older Adult AHP meetings, strong links to Kings College Hospital CPD, access to Recovery College and local mental health networks. You can also join trust wide MDT groups, that focus on other areas you may be interested in, such as end of life care, autism and learning disabilities.

As one of the few Trusts in London we are proud to offer flexible working as part of our new ways of working, and we are happy to talk flexible working at the interview stage. We often find that, in addition to improving your quality of life, it can also contribute to good patient care, for example working a longer day to have 3 opportunities for meal time assessments and then a shorter day another time.
South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust provide the widest range of NHS mental health services in the UK . We work closely with the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience ( IoPPN ), King's College London and are part of King's Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre.
Within SLT, we also have posts that cover brain injury and neuropsychiatry, working age adults, forensics and other specialist services including an Eating Disorders Unit. We are also developing services within Neurodevelopmental pathways, including autism and learning disabilities.
The profile of Speech and Language Therapy has gradually increased over the years and there are opportunities to have an impact trust-wide. We also people to work in some of the other SLT roles e.g. to manage urgent referrals as a team, or to gain experience of other areas within mental health.
