Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and motivated Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our friendly team at the University Hospital of North Midlands NHS Trust (UHNM).



A key component of this role is dysphagia and we are also interested in experienced Band 5's who have completed their dysphagia competencies and are ready for career progression, less experienced Band 5's who are in the process of completing their dysphagia competencies and want to embrace the opportunity to take a Band 5-6 progression role, or therapists who wish to return to practice and require support to complete their return to practice documentation



The post holder will provide Speech and Language Therapy services across the inpatient settings of Royal Stoke and County Hospital. This is a dynamic post that requires the post holder to manage a varied caseload, including dysphagia and disorders of communication, and work closely with uni/multi-disciplinary teams/agencies in addressing a range of care/support issues across the spectrum of conditions, facilitating safe and effective early discharge and improving the health and wellbeing of the population served.
