We're looking for an
Outreach Support Worker
to join our
Severe and Multiple Disadvantage Service
in Southend. You'll be working with rough sleepers and ex-rough sleepers--people who've experienced exclusion, trauma, and complex needs--and helping them access the support they need to live independently and with dignity.
What your day might look like:
Start by checking in with residents at our Complex Needs hostel.
Head out into the community to connect with individuals who are traditionally hard to engage.
Help people access treatment, health services, and housing options.
Provide advice on welfare benefits, financial wellbeing, and tenancy rights.
Advocate for customers and support them in making informed choices about their lives.
Work closely with partner agencies to build a network of support around each individual.

We're looking for someone who:
Has experience working with people with complex needs
Can provide support in both hostel and outreach settings
Understands safeguarding, housing rights, and welfare benefits
Is confident working independently and using initiative
Has great communication skills and a non-judgmental approach
Holds a
full UK driving licence
and has access to a car
Is happy to undergo an
Enhanced DBS check
