We are looking for a reliable and experienced Specialist Vehicle Driver to join our team.





The main duties of this post will be to carry out thorough cleansing of the streets in the Conwy County Borough Council area, and to empty litterbins, pick litter and carry out fly-tipping clearance, generally from a 7.5tonne vehicle.


The successful candidate will play an important part in raising the standard of service provided to the community by Conwy.


You will be required to:



Operate specialist vehicle in accordance with safety guidance Carry out routine street cleansing on assigned routes Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects Assist with other environmental tasks such as litter picking and gritting

You will need:



Full, valid, EU driving licence, appropriate to the weight of vehicle being driven. Ability to work early mornings, weekends or bank holidays as needed A strong commitment to safety and cleanliness

The successful applicant will be required to work on a rota basis, which will include weekend working. There are two working patterns, either working 5 days out of 7 or 4 days on and 4 days off.
