Job Description

We are looking for a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Palliative Medicine Specialty Doctor to join the North Wales specialist palliative care team.



This is a permanent speciality doctor role within the Palliative Medicine department. The appointee should have previous general medical experience and will work with the senior medical staff and clinical nurse specialists as part of the Specialist Palliative Care Team, to support both community and hospital inpatient services in North East Wales. This is a full time position, of 10 sessions per week, based with the team in the Maelor Hospital, Wrexham.



8x DCC sessions within the hospital and community and 2x SPA



This is a permanent speciality doctor role within the Palliative Medicine department.

The Specialist Palliative Care Team (East) is based in the Wrexham Maelor Hospital. The team provides specialist support, care and advice to patients and their families living with life limiting illness, in a variety of settings, including the patient's own home, acute and community hospitals and residential and nursing homes. The team also works in close partnership with the local adult hospices in North Wales and across the border.
