Appointment of a full-time Specialty Doctor in Adult Inpatient Psychiatry based at Peter Hodgkinson Centre, Lincoln 3 days a week and in the Grantham Crisis Team, based at the Sycamore Centre, Grantham, 2 days a week.
The post holder will be working alongside a skilled multi-disciplinary team who provide general psychiatric care for adults through our inpatient and urgent care pathways. This post will have the support of a supervising Consultant, CESR Fellow and Resident Doctors for the female inpatient unit. In the crisis team, there will be the support of a supervising consultant

Home working could be considered for the SPA time only. Clinical work must be on site.

To be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing services to the patients of Castle Ward an 18 bedded female acute ward.
To be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing services to the patients under the care of the Grantham Crisis Team
Liaising with other professionals and agencies involved in the patients' care.
Attend care planning meetings, ward rounds, risk assessments and referral meetings.
Seeing patients independently within the crisis team for psychiatric review
Prepare reports for case summaries, CPAs, Tribunal/Managers' Hearings and Discharge Summaries.
The Specialty Doctor will be expected to participate in the postgraduate activities related to psychiatric services and to ensure CPD requirements are met.
The Specialty Doctor will be expected to participate in departmental studies and the medical/clinical audit process.
So far as is consistent with the proper discharge of the above duties, the post holder undertakes to deputise from time to time for absent colleagues.
To work in unison with the Trainees to provide medical and psychiatric cover for the patients within the ward.
To be mindful of and actively involved in current safeguarding practices.
To be involved in the assessment and management of urgent and routine referrals.
To support the crisis team MDT in the management of complex patients through attendance at weekly MDT meetings and liaison with the wider system.
