The Division of Emergency and Integrated Medicine has twice-weekly sessions of postgraduate and audit activity, including a weekly Physicians' Grand Round. There is also a weekly lunchtime Clinical Conference. The Division has a regular teaching commitment with resident students from Cardiff, Manchester and Liverpool, with the majority of appointed from these Universities. A core curriculum is taught to Foundation Year Ones and SHOs/FY2's, and there are also regular MRCP tutorials. There is a dedicated Clinical Governance Unit and Audit Office with permanent staff.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
The candidate will be responsible, both professionally and managerially, to Dr H Nair clinical lead for acute medicine. You will also be supervised by a team of consultant's hrs within acute medicine
