We have an immediate vacancy for a Speech and Language Therapist to work from our growing centre in Brighton, East Sussex, and in the community in Brighton, West and East Sussex.

In addition to Speech and Language Therapy, Starjumpz services include Consultant Paediatrician diagnostic assessments and treatment, post adoption services, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Nutrition, Psychological services, Neurofeedback and Functional Medicine. This position provides opportunities to work in a range of settings including schools, homes, within our own treatment centre and as part of our neurodevelopmental assessment team. The post will involve working with a wide age range of children from 0-19 and with a wide range of needs, including Autistic Spectrum Condition, ADHD, PDA, language disorders, articulation difficulties, Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyspraxia/ DCD, Attachment disorder, developmental trauma, Cerebral Palsy, developmental delay and learning disabilities.
The new Speech and Language Therapist will be able to:
Work collaboratively with a wide range of colleagues
Communicate effectively within a large team to ensure effective exchange of information and delivery of a multidisciplinary service
Communicate complex and sensitive information in an accessible way to parents and carers
Write clear, accurate reports (with a good level of English) reflecting the needs of children and young people effectively to parents, carers and other professionals
Support and deliver presentations to schools, parents and carers
Work in wide range of different environments
Work independently as well as within a team.
In addition, they will have experience in:
Working with a paediatric caseload
Working with children with ADHD and Autistic Spectrum Condition using a neuroaffirming approach
Working with children with a range of differing needs
The successful applicant must be registered with the HCPC and preferably be a member of RCSLT. The successful applicant will also be subject to safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS check.
