Job Description

We are looking to recruit a dynamic and innovative Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join our services in High Wycombe, initially covering maternity leave in our Special School service based at Chiltern Wood - as a full time post. A mixed post can be available to include our syndrome-specific speech and language therapy services for children and young people who have Down Syndrome.

If you are looking for a change, have skills in supporting young people with a wide range of speech, language and/or communication needs at primary and secondary age, want to be innovative and flexible in the service being provided, want to work with a fantastic team, and want the opportunity to develop your skills through training and opportunities appropriate to the grade then this is the post for you!

The post is a permanent, full-time, 37.5 hours per week role, initially covering maternity leave for 10 months from September 2025, or sooner where possible. Following this, the post would move to other similar local Symbol services.

We have excellent support and supervision systems and provide a high level of training and mentoring. The majority of our staff team have worked in our services for many years, developing specialist skills and their portfolio of responsibilities within our services.

Pay: 38,178.00-43,744.00 per year

Expected hours: No more than 37.5 per week
