We are seeking a dynamic, empathetic, and skilled

Speech & Language Therapist

to join our multidisciplinary therapy team. We welcome applications from both newly qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapists. The salary is Grade 6 for newly qualified candidates but up to Grade 8 can be considered depending on previous experience and level of qualifications.


The postholder will work under the guidance of our Principal SaLT and the wider SaLT Team to assess, plan, and deliver evidence-based, autism-specific interventions for our pupils. You will collaborate closely with teaching staff, families, and professionals to create personalised learning and communication plans that support every child's educational journey.

The successful candidate will have:



A recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree qualification. HCPC registration and commitment to CPD (in line with RCSLT guidance). Experience working with autistic children and young people, ideally within a school setting. Strong knowledge of autism-specific communication strategies and interventions. Excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills. A passion for inclusive education and a child-centred approach.

OKQA is a well-established special school dedicated to teaching children and young people with autism and specific learning difficulties.
