In this role you will be required to:

Use specialist clinical skills to identify, assess, diagnose and manage a specialist caseload of adults with acquired swallowing and communication disorders across a complex general medical caseload. Select the appropriate intervention for effective, evidence-based therapy. Make independent decisions about caseload management. Contribute to audit and service development projects in this clinical area and the wider department

What you'll need to se successful:

HCPC Registration

Degree or equivalent in Speech and Language Therapy

Experience of working within acute general medicine speciality

Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team

Must have at least one or more of the following advanced skills - tracheostomy, videofluoroscopy/modified barium swallow (VFS/MBS), fiberoptic endoscopic evaluation of swallow (FEES) competencies
