Job Overview:



Coyle Homecare is looking to recruit a qualified Speech and Language Therapist to work full-time in a supportive college setting in Richmond. The role involves working with students aged 16+ who have a range of communication difficulties, including those with autism, learning disabilities, and other SEND needs.



You'll be part of a wider multidisciplinary team, supporting learners to develop their communication, interaction, and social skills through tailored intervention plans and collaboration with staff and families.



Key Responsibilities:


Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individual therapy plans Deliver 1:1 and group interventions for students with communication needs Support teaching staff in embedding communication strategies in the classroom Contribute to EHCP reviews, progress reports, and goal setting Maintain accurate clinical records in line with professional standards Work closely with families, carers, and external professionals as needed
Requirements:



Essential:


Recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) Confident working independently in an education setting Strong understanding of communication challenges in young people with SEND
Desirable:


Previous experience in a college or school environment Familiarity with AAC, PECS, or Makaton Experience supporting students aged 16+
