About the Role

Speech and Language Therapy Clinical Lead - Wandsworth and Merton


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic SLT to lead the South-West Division SLT Team working across the two boroughs of Wandsworth and Merton to cover a 6 month secondment.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for an experienced SLT with well-established clinical supervisory and line management skills, and clinical experience working in the community in areas of care of the elderly, neurology, palliative care and rehabilitation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem solving skills.


You will benefit from being part of the wider SLT Leadership Team within CLCH, supporting wider service initiatives and developments.

Key Responsibilities

To be responsible for provision of high-quality Speech and Language Therapy service for patients and the strategic overview/lead on the development of adult speech and language therapy services across Wandsworth and Merton.


To provide, maintain and review a comprehensive patient-focused, highly specialist Speech & Language Therapy service. This service will involve patients, carers, families and service providers.


To provide clinical leadership covering a range of conditions and act in a consultancy role for clinical staff in addressing complex service user issues.


To be responsible for ensuring evidence-based practice through adherence to current clinical guidelines to ensure the most appropriate and cost-effective clinical pathway for individual patients.
