Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate therapist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs.

This role requires a strong commitment to improving the quality of life for clients through tailored therapy plans and effective communication strategies.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' speech and language abilities. Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on assessment results. Provide therapy sessions to clients, focusing on improving communication skills and swallowing functions. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, educators, and family members to ensure a holistic approach to client care. Maintain accurate records of client progress and modify treatment plans as necessary. Educate clients and their families about speech and language disorders and provide strategies for improvement. Stay updated with the latest research and techniques in speech therapy.

Requirements

A recognised degree suitable for the role. Registration with the relevant professional body. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients of all ages. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience in adult brain injuries desirable, experience in swallowing therapy essential. A commitment to ongoing professional development.

Pay: 38,682.00-46,580.00 per year

Expected hours: 24 - 40 per week
