Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a recently qualified Speech & Language Therapist to join our friendly team in York Hospital.



We are passionate about evidence-based, high quality care for our patients, and if you are too we could offer a supportive and exciting role for a new or experienced Band 5 Speech and Language Therapist.



You would be supported by a team manager, a professional lead, clinical leads, Band 6 Senior SLTs, and have access to peer support from Band 5 colleagues.



The role will be varied and offers the opportunity to work with experienced Speech and Language Therapists in a variety of areas including acute medical wards, surgery and stroke services on a rotational basis.



The successful candidate will be joining an SLT team with a strong commitment to integrated working and quality improvement. There will be excellent training and development opportunities, scope to support service development, as well as a robust supervision and appraisal system .



If you are a newly qualified Speech and Language Therapist in your first year of practice, we have a Preceptorship programme to help support development of your skills and confidence as an autonomous practitioner.
