As Strategic Account Manager for the Speedy Desk, you will take

full ownership of the Speedy Hire scorecard

, driving performance across all KPIs including revenue, margin, SLA delivery, customer satisfaction, and reciprocal trading. You will be the

face of Nixon Hire

to Speedy, engaging at every level of the organisation - from senior executives to frontline teams and external sales - to deliver growth opportunities and strengthen our position as their trusted strategic partner.


This role combines leadership of the Speedy Desk team with hands-on account management, ensuring Nixon Hire I consistently represented with professionalism, insight, and a focus on delivering mutual success.

About you!



Proven account management experience within the hire industry (essential). Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering profitable growth. Demonstrated ability to influence and manage relationships across senior executives, frontline staff, and external sales teams. Leadership experience in managing and motivating high-performing teams. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills. Organised, resilient, and able to manage multiple priorities. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret scorecards, dashboards, and CRM data. Strong presentation skills and the confidence to represent Nixon Hire at senior level.

About the role!



Account Ownership & Relationship Management



Act as the

face of Nixon Hire

for Speedy, owning the relationship at every level (local, regional, national). Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with Speedy's

senior leadership, frontline teams, and external sales staff

. Represent Nixon Hire in all strategic forums, ensuring services align to Speedy's evolving objectives. Drive revenue opportunities through relationship building, consultative selling, and solution design. Support and participate in Speedy-led initiatives (launches, customer days, internal events). Initiate engagement meetings to showcase Nixon Hire's full product range, innovation, and sustainability credentials.

Revenue Growth & Commercial Development



Identify, track, and convert profitable revenue opportunities across the Speedy account. Deliver consultative sales to align Nixon solutions with Speedy customer projects. Champion Nixon Hire innovations and value-added solutions across Speedy's network. Provide commercial insights and recommendations to drive mutual growth.

Team Leadership & Management



Lead, coach, and develop the Speedy Desk team to deliver high service standards, sales conversion, and operational accuracy. Set clear KPIs, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement. Ensure SLA compliance, process governance, and operational excellence. Promote accountability, collaboration, and a customer-first culture.

Customer Engagement & Solution Showcases



Plan and lead engagement meetings with Speedy at all levels. Showcase Nixon Hire's portfolio and thought leadership. Align activities with Speedy's strategic goals and customer requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration



Work with depots, commercial, and operations teams to align delivery against Speedy's expectations. Be accountable for

reciprocal trading performance

and deliver shared value. Act as the central communication hub between Nixon Hire teams and Speedy stakeholders.

Risk & Opportunity Management



Identify risks, missed opportunities, and inefficiencies, and deliver solution-led action plans. Capture customer feedback to inform Nixon Hire's improvement and innovation roadmap.

Reporting & Insights



Own the Speedy scorecard, ensuring accuracy across all KPIs. Provide regular insight-led reports to both Nixon Hire and Speedy stakeholders. Track and drive performance in conversion, revenue, margin, SLA compliance, satisfaction, and team effectiveness.

General



Keep abreast of advancements Complying with Company Policies and Procedures and upholding the Nixon Hire Values at all times. Ensuring all work is carried out in a safe and timely manner without risk to yourself and others whether on site or at a depot in line with the Company's Health & Safety Directives, Method Statements and procedure. Wearing appropriate safety clothing and using safety equipment to complete the task undertaken in the working environment in accordance with the Company's P.P.E requirements. Maintaining a safe and hazard free work area be it on customer site or within Nixon Hire premises. Checking company vehicles before use and driving in a safe and courteous manner, along with timely reporting of any vehicle defects. Reporting any accidents (person, property or vehicles) via the Accident / Incident report system. Adhere to Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality processes to ensure we are always compliant. Carrying out any other duties as requested by immediate line manager or Director.

Success Measures



Full Speedy Scorecard performance Enquiry-to-order conversion rate. Revenue growth vs. target. SLA compliance and service quality. Accuracy of Invoicing * Customer satisfaction (CSAT/NPS and qualitative feedback).
