Spinal Injury Team Leader

Zero-hour contract

Shifts:

12 hour day shifts & night shifts. Team Leader expectations would be a split of hours on the rota as a Support Worker, alongside hours for administration/other duties.

Role Overview:

We are offering an opportunity for experienced Team Leader/Senior Spinal Injury Support Worker to join our new client in Birmingham. To support their independence and lifestyle, we're seeking support workers who are confident, empathetic, and capable of building a strong, trusting relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

As a team leader, you will:


+ Lead, support, and motivate care staff to deliver outstanding person-centred care
+ Conduct spot checks, supervisions, and competency assessments
+ Assist with rota management and ensure adequate staffing for each care package
+ Maintain accurate care records
+ Act as the main point of contact for clients, families, and professionals
+ Support with training and development of care staff
+ Ensure compliance with company policies, safeguarding, and health & safety regulations
+ Provide hands-on care when required to maintain service continuity.

What We're Looking For:

+ Previous experience within a similar role, supporting clients with Spinal Injury, catheter care and bowel management
+ A caring and compassionate nature
+ Excellent communication skills
+ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
+ A valid UK driving licence essential to drive the WAV during shifts essential.
