Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled counterbalance Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced environment on a split shift basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to facilitate the loading and offloading of our vehicles. Hours as follows:

Morning shift: 6am - 8.30am

Afternoon shift 3.30am-8pm

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts to load and unload materials from lorries and storage areas. Conduct regular inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance. Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols during all operations. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying quantities and conditions of incoming and outgoing goods. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Perform heavy lifting as required, moving products efficiently throughout the yard.

Experience

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is essential, with a strong understanding of materials handling processes. Proficiency in operating forklifts; certification is preferred but not mandatory if willing to undergo training. Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues. Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout shifts, demonstrating physical stamina and strength.
