Salary: 475.00 - 540.00 per week
Contract: Full-time / Term-time only / Temporary to Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm

About the Role

Are you passionate about using sport to inspire and support young people? We are working with a forward-thinking school that is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team, providing both academic and behavioural support to students. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in sport, coaching, or youth work who is keen to make a positive impact in education.

Key Responsibilities

Support students with behavioural and social, emotional needs, helping them to stay engaged in lessons. Use sport and physical activity as a tool to motivate and encourage positive behaviour. Work one-to-one and in small groups to deliver targeted support. Collaborate with teachers and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies and promote a positive learning environment. Act as a positive role model, promoting teamwork, resilience, and respect.

About You

Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational, coaching, or youth work setting. A passion for sport and the ability to use it as a tool for engagement and learning. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
