Are you an enthusiastic, passionate sports coach who believes physical education can change lives?
Do you also believe that building strong, trusting relationships with students--especially those with additional needs--can make all the difference?
AS2Educate is a KS4 and Post 16 Alternative Education Provision. We are seeking a Sports and Enrichment Lead to join our expanding and dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to lead the delivery of our high-quality physical education curriculum while also providing pastoral support to students across the provision. Support children's understanding of health, fitness, safety in sport, tactics and evaluation
Offer meaningful pastoral support to individuals or small groups
Create engaging, inclusive and motivating physical and enrichment sessions
Work as a key member of our trauma-informed team to build confidence, resilience, and positive behaviour
We are looking for someone who is:
A qualified sports coach with a minimum of 4 years' experience working within an education setting
Experienced in supporting children with SEND and SEMH needs
Able to deliver sports lessons with purpose and passion, adapting approaches for diverse learners
Committed to our vision of developing the 'whole child'--academically, physically and emotionally
A creative, proactive, flexible team player with a trauma informed and whole-school mindset
Understanding of what high-quality PE teaching looks like and how to evaluate and improve performance and engagement
Skilled in building relationships and using sports or enrichment activities as a tool for engagement
Familiar with SEMH interventions and positive behaviour strategies
Why join AS2Educate?
Be part of a trauma-informed alternative provision
Access professional development, mentoring and training
Join a friendly and dedicated team during an exciting period of growth
Help shape a unique pastoral and physical development programme
Mileage reimbursed for student transport to enrichment or offsite sessions
