What skills and academic qualifications do I need?
You'll need to have obtained or be studying towards a minimum 2:1 in any degree discipline and have graduated by September 2026 for the Autumn 2026 intake.
What kind of work will I do?
You will work with a range of public and private sector clients across our four market offerings: Sports Advisory; Sports Transformation Advisory; Sports M&A Advisory and Transaction Support; and Economic Advisory and Development. Our recent clients have included FIA, who we have helped develop and implement financial regulations across Formula One and Formula E, the LTA, who we have helped 'open up tennis' through digital transformation, and RedBird Capital, who we advised on the acquisition of AC Milan.
You will grow your understanding of the sports industry through a mixture of on-the-job learning and knowledge sharing sessions, enabling you to advise clients, speak at industry events and contribute to flagship publications including the Annual Review of Football Finance, the Deloitte Football Money League and the Future of Sport, as well as insight pieces relating to topics such as transfer spending and trends in the sports industry. These pieces, along with our client work, are valued highly across the industry and are often the subject of media coverage.
Where will I work?
At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you're in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.
All our
work spaces
are accessible, however, if you require further flexibility due to a health condition or caring responsibilities, please discuss this with our team.
You can find further information on
our
parent and carer policies here.
How will I develop?
As a Graduate within Sports Business Group, you will complete the CIMA qualification.
You'll begin with a comprehensive induction programme, equipping you with the skills and confidence to work with our clients. Ongoing professional development will be provided through your project team, mentoring, and a dedicated buddy.
Joining the Sports Business Group will provide the opportunity to work with industry experts across our market offerings. Our Graduate scheme allows you to enjoy the benefits that come with joining a global firm amongst a large cohort whilst also receiving a unique and personal welcome to our specialist team.
Through your work you will develop a range of both quantitative and qualitative analytical skills. You will learn to use programmes such as Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and Power BI to analyse and present data and write up your findings in a variety of formats such as reports and insight articles.
The network you build will allow you to create and seize opportunities across the sports industry. As you progress you will have the chance to develop your presentation skills, whether this be in pitches, client meetings or at industry events.
