Sports Centre Duty Officer

Bilborough Sports Centre, College Way, Nottingham, NG8 4DQ

Terms:

Part Time: 10 - 15hrs per week (Additional overtime available)
Evenings and Weekends.

Salary/rate:

12.50 - 13.50

P&E Sports was established in April 2011 with the mission of enhancing community access to quality sports and recreational facilities. Since our inception, we have been dedicated to managing and maximising the use of school sports facilities during evenings, weekends, and school holidays. Our goal is to provide local communities with opportunities to engage in a wide range of sports and recreational activities, promoting healthy lifestyles and fostering a love for sports among people of all ages.

About the role:

To undertake a range of leisure centre duties, maintaining a very high standard of safety and providing a clean and inviting environment thus assisting in the delivery of high-quality sport and leisure services to the customer base using our Sports Centre facilities

Responsibilities:

Meet and greet all hirers.

Maintaining and setting up equipment, checking it is not damaged and is safe to use

Supervising adults, teenagers and children using equipment where needed.

Assisting with any accidents that occur and giving first aid if needed.

Overseeing rooms, tidying and cleaning all areas.

Charging admission, taking bookings, renting out equipment, handling cash or answering the phone.

Selling refreshments

Candidate requirements:

Excellent customer service skills

The ability to work well with others

Sensitivity and understanding

Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations

The ability to work well under pressure

Excellent verbal communication skills

To be thorough and pay attention to detail

To be able to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device

Must be passionate about sports and fitness

Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential

Willingness to learn

Driving licence (desirable not essential)

All Training will be provided.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 12.50-13.50 per hour
