As a Sports Coach Assistant, you will have the opportunity to run dynamic and fun classes to children ages 2-7 while helping them learn basic rugby skills. During a class, Sports Coach responsibilities include:

Help deliver sports coaching sessions to children ages 2-7 Provide instruction, guidance, and feedback to children to help them improve their skills and performance Welcome and acknowledge children & parent as they arrive for each class Arrive 15 minutes prior to class to set up equipment Ensure classes commence and finish on time Work though the Rugbytots programme to teach the basic core skills used in rugby in a fun and structured environment using equipment and apparatus provided Encourage team spirit, sportsmanship, teamwork and patience amongst the team by delivering appropriate games and tasks in groups and individually Lead, motivate and engage with the children in your classes Leave the venue clear and tidy after the classes have finished Maintain Rugbytots Equipment whilst in use
Professional requirements:

To act in a professional way as a representative of Rugbytots whilst conducting your classes Ensure adherence to Rugbytots policies, these include, but are not limited to, adherence to child protection policy and reporting procedures, Rugbytots code of conduct, complaints procedures, health and safety policy statement etc. To attend all training and refresher courses as required by Rugbytots Act courteously toward venue staff and on-site personnel
Skills and Experience:

Working with children aged 2-7, even if voluntary Previous experience in sports coaching or playing at a competitive level is preferred General knowledge of rugby Strong and confident communication, fluent English and interpersonal skills Ability to motivate and inspire children Patience and the ability to work with individuals of different ages and skill levels
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent, Zero hours contract

Pay: 12.00-16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 - 20 per week
