Job Overview


We are seeking passionate and dedicated Sports Coaches to join our dynamic team, either on a full time or part time basis. As a Sports Coach at Skills Academy, you will be responsible for delivering fun, engaging, and structured sports sessions to children of all skill levels. You will help create a positive environment that encourages skill and social development through physical activity.

Responsibilities



Session Delivery

- Plan and deliver football and multi-sport coaching sessions for children ensuring each session is engaging, educational and inclusive for all abilities.

Skill Development -

Provide tailored coaching to help participants develop their physical, technical, social and mental skills through sport.

Session Management

- Lead after school clubs, holiday camps, and weekend sessions; liaising with senior staff to ensure programmes are delivered to expected standards.

Collaboration

- Collaborate and communicate effectively with all staff members to plan, co-ordinate and deliver a high quality sports coaching programme.

Record Keeping -

Keep accurate records of attendance, progress and any incidents that occur before, during or after sessions.

Continuous Learning

- Take part in ongoing CPD to develop personal knowledge and understanding, whilst maintaining up to date coaching, safeguarding and first aid qualifications.

Requirements



Proven experience in sports coaching or a related field is desirable. We do also offer opportunities to coaches at the beginning of their coaching journey. Strong knowledge of football and/or a variety of other sports - demonstrating understanding of the skills and techniques required. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage children. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in planning sessions. FA Level One in Coaching Football (or equivalent), First Aid and Safeguarding qualifications are essential. A passion for sports and commitment to fostering a positive sporting environment for all participants.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Freelance

Pay: 12.00-20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 - 25 per week
