Deadline for applications is 29th August. Interviews will take place week commencing 1st Sept, with stage one being a face-to-face/virtual interview. If successful in stage one, candidates will deliver a PE lesson for stage two of the interview.
The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:
Delivery of high quality PE Lessons to primary school children aligned to our Achieve4All plans
Delivery of School Clubs including after school, lunchtime and breakfast
Delivery of Holiday Camps during non-term time at various venues
Ensuring all participants learn in a safe environment.
Coaching to be engaging and delivered to a high standard
Delivering all contractual commitments relative to the sessions
Delivering sessions within strict safeguarding policies
Effectively managing sessions with effective 'behavioural' management techniques
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Essential:
At least 2 year of delivering PE Lessons to children at primary schools.
Evidence of good time management and organisational skills
'Can-do' attitude evident in previous roles.
Flexible and adaptable attitude to work
Enhanced DBS required (can be applied for after hire)
Experience in a variety of sports and physical activities
Enthusiasm for working with children
Willingness to teach all activities required in our primary curriculum
Ability to travel to rural schools
Desirable:
Level 2 or higher safeguarding training
Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Certification
Sport qualifications, Sports Degree, Level 2 Qualification in a specific sport or currently studying for Level 2 qualification in any sport.
Any other Sports and Dance Teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential
QTS desirable but not essential
Full Time equivalent salary (35 Hours) starts at 23000 to 25000, based on experience with opportunity to move through salary range. There are a range of hours available from 20hrs per week to 35 hours per week, however less than 20hrs per week will be considered.
